The Brazil-Argentina Short Film Show was held from November 1 to 8 at the Fundación Centro de Estudos Brasileiros and the Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas in Buenos Aires. Its objective was to present to the Buenos Aires public a brief overview of Brazilian and Argentine short films made between 1990 and 2000, with short films by filmmakers who achieved international renown, such as Lucrécia Martel, Pablo Trapero, Jorge Furtado, Sandra Kogut, Ana Muylaert, Tata Amaral and several other prominent figures from the 1990s.
This show was sponsored by Petrobras. It was a joint effort by the Fundación Centro de Estudos Brasileiros, the Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas - Universidad de Buenos Aires and A.R Produções (the initial corporate name of Franco Produções).
