The showcase “Novos Rumos, Novos Cineastas” was held between April 22 and May 4, 2003 at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, Rio de Janeiro. The main goal was to offer the public of Rio a panorama of the new crop of North-American independent films. The films screened were developed by the IFP (Independent Feature Project), a not-for-profit American organization, which has ensured the emergence of new films and directors in the United States.
