Director Paola Barreto Leblanc's latest short film, Maré Capoeira, aimed at children and teenagers, has been shown all over Brazil and is still traveling around the world, participating in several festivals and winning many awards.


In the film, the director, while telling the story of the little capoeirista Maré, presents remarkable traits of our culture. The film continues its national and international career in exhibitions and events, besides its exhibition on TV and other windows of exhibition.

Synopsis

Maré is the nickname of João, a ten-year old boy who dreams of becoming a master of the art of capoeira like his father, continuing a family tradition that has spanned various generations. This short film blends fiction and documentary in a short tale of love and war.
